GUIDELINES FOR PAPER CONTRIBUTORS

Highlights of the seminar

  • Renowned international and national scholars and thinkers of Bhagwad-Gita will be part of the seminar.
  • Seminar shall provide a platform for a dialogue between the past and the present.
  • Selected Research papers will be published in a book with ISBN number or in a journal with ISSN number that will include researches from different subjects and languages.
  • The proceedings of seminar can provide a valuable direction for future research and works on Bhagwad-Gita.
  • The seminar is supported by the Govt. of Haryana and outcomes of discussions shall provide new ideas and way forward for developing Kurukshetra as a land of Bhagwad-Gita.

Submission Guidelines

Papers on the suggested themes or related themes can be submitted. Full papers shall be 3000-5000 words shall include name(s) of author(s), affiliation, postal and email address. Papers can be written in English/Hindi/ Sanskrit. Participants are encouraged to submit the original research and strictly avoid plagiarism.

Detailed guidelines for poster presentation will be announced soon.

Authors are required to submit an abstract/full paper latest by 5th December, 2023.

Selected abstracts will be given an opportunity for poster presentation. The presenter will be present during the poster presentation session for interaction with the delegates.

Full papers will be given an opportunity for presentation in the respective Technical Sessions.

Papers shall follow the style sheets for their respective disciplines as the seminar technical sessions are coordinated by Dept of Sanskrit-PaliPrakrit, Institute of Sanskrit &Indological Studies, Philosophy and University School of Management, Institute of Integrated and Honors Studies and University Institute of Engineering & Technology. Papers are expected from Sanskrit, Tourism, Philosophy, English, Management, Commerce, Law, Environment Science and all Arts and Science streams.

Selected abstracts will be published in the Souvenir, which will be released in the Inaugural Ceremony and selected papers will be published in a special issue of Kurukshetra University Research Journal.

Guidelines for Poster Presentation

• All the participants are requested to prepare their posters that should not exceed the dimensions of 25” x 40” 1.0 × 1.5 m (length × width)
• Use a single portrait sheet for the poster.
• Font Size: Title- 86pt, Authors-50pt, Subheading-36pt, Text-24 pt, Caption-18pt
• The poster must include the title, Author's Name, Affiliation, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion.
• Clear pictures, diagrams, graphs, and short tables are highly encouraged to use.
• Mounting materials will be provided.
• Refer to your acceptance letter and/or the final conference program for the time and location of your poster session and set-up time.
• The designated poster presenter (author or coauthor) must be present at the assigned space during the designated time to discuss the work presented.

Best Paper Awards

Best Paper Award/s shall be given for the presentations made in each of the Technical Sessions. Presenters should have submitted their full papers before the closing dates and made the presentation in the Technical Session to be eligible for the award. They should have registered for the Seminar. The session Chair(s) will evaluate the presentations and papers and will announce the Best Papers.
For poster presentations, up to THREE posters and presentations will be considered for the Best Paper Award. The abstracts should be received as per guidelines before the closing date. The presenter will have to be present to explain the gist of their poster before the Evaluation Committee.
The decision to give awards shall be at the sole discretion of the Session Chair(s).
Best Paper Awardees will be presented a Certificate at the time of the Valedictory Ceremony.
